I'm Leandro. Very early in my career I became obsessed with understanding the mechanics of exactly how a digital image is made.
That fascination took me on a journey and I spent 15 years as a theatrical colorist and VFX Supervisor on over 200 films and shows.
Then I discovered the magic of AI filmmaking. Generative AI is an accelerator for many of the things we used to create by hand. The artist's eye is still crucial as a curator, but the process of making worlds on film can move much faster, we can dream bigger now.
The other benefit of incorporating gen ai into a filmmaking pipeline is realism. The world models at the heart of all ai pipelines are incredible at rendering photo-realism, far more than traditional VFX, especially in backgrounds and environments. By combining live action foregrounds and AI backgrounds, props, sets, and vehicles, amazing visuals are possible. I help my clients navigate the tools and techniques to maximize their ai or hybrid output.
